What is the Un-Fragile Feminist Club?

Think about a time when you said the wrong thing to a Person or Color. Or a time when you witnessed a microaggression/outright racism and didn’t react the way you would expect an ally to show up. Or when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. The time for hesitancy and wondering is gone. In this group I will help you unlearn fragility and use your power for good–for liberation. This Club is a space where you will work through those moments where you coulda, shoulda and gather the gumption to do, be, and act in the spirit of liberation more frequently.

The Un-Fragile Feminist Club is a community of women ready! For the reasons named above, this community is geared toward women with racial privilege or who do not have a strong sense of their racial identity; women who want to learn with and from Black women and Women of Color. Club members will  have a variety of ways to engage with other Un-Fragile Feminists through posts, discussions, live chats with the host, and more in order to deepen your understanding of your entanglement with whiteness and become Un-Fragile! It’s going to be the most beautifully challenging journey…like a really good workout, or childbirth…tough but so worth it and beautiful in the end!

About the Host

Why should you join me and let me support your Un-Fragile Journey?

I am Dr. Raedell and I am passionate about amplifying the stories and voices of Black girls and women and helping the world heal from racial trauma.

I am a life & liberation coach. I work with people who want to heal from the impacts of racial injustice. From university classrooms to K-12 classrooms; from non-profit leadership to school district leadership; from large groups of 100s to individual development; I work with you to develop learning experiences that meet the needs of all involved.

My research in graduate school was a self-study of the impact of racism and sexism on "her" experiences as a student and educator. This journey fueled me to openly share my story with others and help others tap into their own as they journey towards antiracist and general personal growth. I know that to truly undo racism, we must work at it everyday and I have a passion for developing the healing and best versions in all of us. I am excited to help you unleash and grow your potential and tell your story!

I have served as a guest storyteller for many types of audiences (Teach For America, Blackburn College, Women in Public Finance) and designed learning opportunities for a variety of groups/teams  (University of Washington, Renton School District, Alliance for Education). I am gifted at curating relevant, engaging experiences that push, support, and prompt creative and responsive approaches to living life liberated. Check out what participants, clients, and colleagues have to say.

Testimonios

"It takes great skill to create a space where individuals can feel safe to share yet pushed to reflect. Dr. Raedell is able to create this space across contexts." ~Katie Danielson, Professor

"Engaging and relevant conversation.  Dr Raedell makes a potentially uncomfortable conversation informative, enjoyable and disarming." Steve Taylor, Corporate Manager

"I am a firm believer that stories help people see how we are more alike than different. There's no better academic expert in using personal testimony to break open truth and affect change." Hilary P., Journalist

"Dr. Raedell has a superior ability to meet people where they are in their own racial identity development and design experiences that push them each further...for transformational change." -Emma Hanan, Educator/Non-Profit Advancement Director

"Dr. Raedell is the perfect example of someone who listens to understand, rather than respond. She has a quiet power that pushes people to reflect and think on a much deeper level than they even thought possible." - Erika Lund, Educator

What is Mighty Networks?

I created this community mostly because I hate social media as a  coach and social entrepreneur. I wanted to find a way to engage with people who actually want to engage with me. I wanted to be able to facilitate discussions, ask and answer questions, and provide tools, learning opportunities, and resources all in one place. I wanted to spend more time engaging and creating bomb expereinces and less time whittling my genius down with pithy packaging, selling, and marketing plans.

This platform allows all that, and I welcome you to this experience!

My hope is that you will achieve personal growth you desire that is nearly impossible to get on our own without a community.

Think of this Club and platform as our own social media platform + virtual classroom + 1:1 meeting space all in one. Here are some of the things you will be able to do:

  • Create and respond to posts from your fellow Un-Fragile Feminists (e.g. ask questions about that time you wish you would have…and offer advice/input)

  • Read and reply to articles from Dr. Raedell on how whiteness creeps in and ways you can disrupt (think of it like an interactive blog). You can even write your own articles because this is our platform!

  • Create small groups for even more intentional engagement (e.g. regional, by profession)

  • Hear from Dr. Raedell in both free/informal chats and in more formally scheduled Talks regularly

  • In (the very near) future: complete self-guided courses, sign up for 1:! coaching, and more!

As a member of this Club you will get access to an expert in racial justice and restoration, as well as a community of like-minded women also striving for justice and equity.

If you are a white woman, please pause and consider....

I’ve had a lot of Black and Asian women ask me about joining the Un-Fragile Feminist Club and I tell them no. This club is so you can rest a minute. This club is in service of us. This club is so well-meaning white women can take on more so you don’t have to.

So please consider giving the gift of rest by joining, learning, growing, and communing. There is no risk or obligation. I only ask that you give it a try.
